K. Greg Peterson

Greg Peterson has 30 years of legal experience representing clients throughout Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, and Yolo Counties. Mr. Peterson began his career in the San Francisco and Los Angeles metropolitan areas and moved to Sacramento in 1988 where he took a position as an associate with Trainor Robertson & Smits, a well-known commercial real estate law firm. He has been in practice as a sole practitioner for almost 20 years and has significant trial experience in federal and state court, both in jury and non-jury trials. His practice includes extensive use of mediation and alternative dispute resolution, and he works with a number of leading Northern California mediators whom he frequently calls upon to assist in the settlement of complex cases. Mr. Peterson also serves as a private mediator and Settlement Conference Judge (Pro Tempore) and assists litigants in the resolution of their disputes. When a case cannot be settled for whatever reason and circumstances call for a trial, Mr. Peterson, who is also well-known at the courthouse, is prepared to try your case.

Martindale-Hubbell, which is the pre-eminent national directory for attorneys, has awarded Mr. Peterson its prestigious "AV Preeminent Rating", which signifies a rating of outstanding legal ability and the highest ethical standards. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Peterson also takes great pride in staying involved in the community. He has been appointed to several Sacramento County commissions and has served on many community boards and professional associations, particularly those dedicated to the improvement of educational opportunities for children in Sacramento. Mr. Peterson currently serves as Trustee of the Jesuit High School Board.
